CRICUT EASY PRESS PAD UPDATE
Okay Crafter's
I got my Easy Press Mat that I was waiting on from Michael's. I actually got it soon after I posted the Easy Press Review. I have finally tried the Mat and can say it worked wonderfully. No moisture left in the fabric after doing the preheat. Be mindful that the mat does not work on both sides. One side expressly tells you that it should be down. I don't know what if anything happens if you use the mat on the wrong-side, but let's hope I never have to find out.
If you've gotten the Easy Press, instead of trying to figure out what cotton towels to use to cover your surface, just get the mat. I see that their are pressing pad out there that people use, but I haven't tried them, and for right now I will stick with the Easy Press Mat. You may want to keep a look out for when Circut products are on sale at your local big-box craft store.

CRICUT EASY PRESS REVIEW
Hey Crafter's
I got the new Cricut Easy Press and figured I tell you my initial thoughts. Okay here goes . . . WOW! I don't have room for a heat press in my space so this seemed like a good compromised. The footprint of this 9 x 9 surface is great, and it stores easily on my little rolling cart.
Now I have done iron-on with the regular iron before and oh my goodness did I struggle to have consistency with getting the iron-on to stay down. With the Easy Press I did the project that comes with the machine, glitter iron-on and then did another project on an apron. The machine did not take as long as the book said to heat up, in fact it was under five minutes and it was beeping at me that it was ready to begin. Since I used two types of iron-on I had to reset the temperature and it did not take long for the machine to adjust.
I do hate the fact that they tell you that you should have the Cricut mat for this machine, but the mat was not available to order from Cricut when I first got my machine. Ugghh. I wanted to try the machine out right away so I had a heat resistant mat on top of my butcher block and then some folded cotton material on top of the mat. I then purchased a replacement heat press mat from Amazon and it worked well.
After getting the heat press mat, I now see that the Cricut mat has been released. Michael's had it on sale online for $14.99 so I got one. I am now waiting for that to arrive, and I'll let you know how that works after I try it out.
Let me know if you have an Easy Press I would love to here your story.

Cricut BrightPad Initial Thoughts
Hey Crafter's!!!
I really, really wanted to love the new Cricut Bright Pad. I mean REALLY wanted to love it. I saw the presentation and the previews and thought this will make me step-up my vinyl crafting. Help with weeding out those iron-on. I figured the other uses they were talking about would just be icing on top of a cake.
Oh how wrong I was. I have tried to to use different types of vinyl and iron-on, and the Bright Pad does not help me see the lines not even a little bit. I've changed the intensity of the brightness, turned off other lights in my crafting space. None of it helps.
Now, I so want this to work, that I am willing to say that it could be the operator and not the machine. So leave a comment if you have had success with seeing weeding lines more clearly and tell me what you're doing. I'm sure there are others who having my experience and would love to know.

Fabulous Crocheted Clothing
Hey Crafters,
I just wanted to update you on some of the fabulous crocheted items that Panda has done. Hopefully, for those interested in crocheting I can get her do a video, but right now she's busy with some other commitments.
Luckily I was able to get her to forward me some pictures of some stuff she's been doing,
This first picture of is front side of the semi-backless halter
This next photograph is the backside of the same halter
This has two items, the fresh spring/summer color of the bag, perfect size for your lipstick, phone, keys. And the over the shirt tank top. Perfect for the causal Friday day at work.
Here's another great summer top. Unfortunately, I only snagged the picture of the front view, when I get the picture of the back I will edit the post.
Now this is actually a picture of two different pieces. The tops and the skirt go so well together you actually think it's all one piece. Each however can be worn separately with a cami & slip.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures of the fabulous pieces. Let us know what are your crochet plans.
