Get Well Soon Card

I decided to add an unconventional element to this card, by using what every person who has a cold uses. Yup you guessed it, TISSUE.  I colored the image awhile ago using Bic Markers, Spectrum Noir Markers, and I might have even used Copic Markers for the skin.  It's been so long though I couldn't tell you which markers I used.
The digital image is from Fine Arts by Robert Jackson.  The sentiment below the image was created using the Silhouette Cameo and Silhouette's Sketch Pens.  I used a hot glue gun to secure the tissue down on a piece of white cardstock.  I then used pop-dots to adhere the image to the tissue.

The inside of the card is stamped from a set that I purchased sometime ago, and I'm still looking to see if I can find the backing.  If I find it I'll update the post with that information.

SPECTRUM NOIR REFILL INK AT JOANN.COM

Hey Crafter's, Happy Fourth of July!  I wanted to do a quick post letting you know some info about Spectrum Noir Markers and Joann.com.  I was just browsing the web and checked out Joann.com and what did my little eyes spy????
Okay yeah I told you in the title.  Joann.com is now selling the refills for Spectrum Noir Markers, the real bonus, is that they are 50% off this week.  SAY YOU WHAAATTT!!!  So that makes the 30ml bottles $2.97 and if you order online today, shipping is only $0.04 with the code NGZP185.  So if you've been using your markers and your nibs are starting to get dry, you should check out the sale.  Just so you know when I did a check there were a few that are already out of stock.

I know, I'm an enabler, but I'll happily take the title today.

Using my Spectrum Noir Markers

I put together this simple card, and wanted to share it with you.  I was able to sit down and use my Spcctrum Noir Markers.  Although I've had these markers for a while, I don't get the time to use them often so my coloring can be hit or miss.  I keep trying though, and actually loved how the coloring on this image came out.  I don't remember where the bling or the ribbon came from because I pulled it from my stash.  The paper used was from different Core'dination Premium Card stock packs.

I purchased the image "Phebe's Prayer" from the website of Fine Arts by Robert Jackson Click Here to get to his website, and see all of his wonderful digital art for sale.

Here is a list of the markers I used to color the image:
Skin Tone:  TN5, TN6, EB4
Hair: BG10, BG9, BG5 (also used White Gelly Roll Pen for accents)
Dress: BP7, BP6, BP4, BP3, BP2
Lips: DR3

Coloring with Spectrum Noir Markers

Hey everybody, I'm the Legalbeagle part of the LegalbeaglePanda team.  As our first kick-off blog post, I thought I would share with you a project I did with one of my Cyber Monday purchases.  An online retailer was having an awesome sale on the Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Markers  and they included free shipping.  I was able to pick up some of the 24 packs of markers for round about $1.05 per marker.  I'm just a novice at using these markers, but I sure do love to color. Anyway I thought I'd post a picture of a Christmas card I made using the markers.

The card base paper comes from the Core'dinations Premium Cardstock Parisian Nights pack.

The layered papers comes from DCWV 2011 The Merry Christmas Stack.

The Digital Stamp image was a freebie from Cuddly Buddly called Kim's Digi Stamp - Jolly Holly.  Here's the link  http://cuddlybuddly.com/shop/v9291-kims-digi-stamp-jolly-holly .

I used the following Spectrum Noir Marker's to color my image:

Bear Fur: TN1, TN2 and TN3
Nose: TN4 & TN7
Hat: DR4, DR3, DR2 & IG2
Scarf: TB2, TB3 & TB4
Boots: TB2, TB3, TB4 & B5
Wreath:  CR8, LG5, CG4, LG4 & LG3
Ground Shadow BG3

We like doing crafty things, and hope to post a different project at least once a week. Hope you come back and check out our adventures in crafting.
